Help the Disabled become taxpayers and you could help insustry and Social programs

In my country there is a cry about cheap imports. There is a further cry of losing jobs at home because of these imports. What are we doing to try to stem the tide of cheep imports absolutely nothing. We cry about cheap imports but fail miserably to help our disabled population become gainfully employed. This population is now estimated to have reached 54 million. Just think how we could stem the tided of cheap imports if we trained this population to make goods for sale at home. This training or possibly retraining would have additional benefits besides helping some struggling industries compete with cheap imports.

First when we utilize our disabled to their full potential we make them into taxpayers. We therefore refuse to relegate them to dependency upon some type of governmental aid. As taxpayers our disabled can help cure the woes of our struggling Social programs. This program depends upon tax funds to help those who may never be able to work so by helping the disabled capable of employment we are funneling more money into this system. More money means that this system would become solvent without having to raise taxes indefinitely.

If my country would endeavor to reduce the unemployment of our disabled to near 6% then in one year we could see additional taxable revenue pumped into our government. This revenue would most likely exceed THREE HUNDRED BILLION dollar level. Think what government could do with this additional revenue?

Another benefit of helping the disabled become taxpayers could be placing a cap upon the now unchecked rise of disability. Placing a cap on this rise would mean that government would be in the business of creating taxpayers not creating a population of disabled citizens who become dependant upon some type of governmental aid.
