Better to Give than Receive

Generally as a rule most people tend to give to charities if there is money left over at the end of the paycheque, and the request comes at an opportune moment. However, if you develop a disability after the employment period of your life is finished , sometimes just making it from one pension cheque to the next can be a challenge! You'd love to be able to make a difference and support your local medical illness non-profit organization but finding the money can be a serious problem. After all, those groups can and do make a difference, by educating us, helping researchers continue the search for cures and/or treatments that might make a difference in our lives. But where do you find the financial resources to support them?

Well once again the Internet comes to the rescue. EyeGive is an organization that makes it possible for even those of us with no extra cash to contribute to our favourite non-profit group. The idea is that you set up EyeGive as your "homepage", each time you visit and click on one of EyeGive's sponsors and read the sponsors page, the sponsor will contribute a set amount to the non-profit group you have selected as your charity. They will pay for up to five visit's each day. Also one of their sponsors is an online book store which will pay a percentage of each book you purchase online to your favourite charity. Signing up with EyeGive is free, and you do not pay a penny, all the contributions come from the sponsors. Yes, it does take a few minutes each day to read the sponsor's pages, but isn't your favourite non-profit group worth a few minutes of your day?

At this time EyeGive accepts non-profit groups from both Canada and the United States. If your favourite non-profit group isn't listed? No problem, you can sign them up so that they will benefit from your thoughtfulness. It doesn't cost a penny to get your charity listed. Each financial quarter all charities that have earned at least $100.00 will receive a cheque from EyeGive, if the amount is under $100.00 the monies are transferred into the following financial quarter.

Now you might not think that just one person can make a difference with such small amounts, but, you can get your friends that share the same non-profit group as yourself to sign up! The more the merrier, for example if you and your friends total 50 people (not hard to do on the net) you could earn over $1,000.00 per year for your favourite non-profit group, without cost to yourselves or your charity.
