Medbroadcast.com - This Canadian based website is a relative newcomer to the web, however don’t let that fool you into thinking that the quality isn’t there. It’s many features can come in handy for anyone not just those of us with chronic medical conditions to worry about. Maybe you’d like to take advantage of your “Personal Health Record” feature; here is a site where you can list all the details of your healthcare for yourself and your family. You can keep track of your children’s Immunization records or maybe keep a detailed listing of your prescription medications. They will even provide you with an email reminder service just before you need to get prescriptions renewed.
Or maybe you’d like to find a support group in your area; they have a database of support groups for a variety of medical conditions both in Canada and the United States. Maybe conventional medicine isn’t helping and you’d like to consider entering into a clinical trial? You can search for trials taking place in your hometown or elsewhere. Possibly you’d be interested in their multimedia presentations they have several animations and videos on a variety of topics for you to view. You can learn how to use an asthma inhaler or maybe you’d like to know more about mammography. This site has so much to offer, just browsing through the “Health Topics A-Z” section will probably find you looking up so much more than you thought you would. Obviously a lot of planning and development was done on this site prior to it’s virtual opening on the net. The entire site is well designed and easy to navigate but if you do have problems just visit the “Help” page, where you can find online assistance navigating the site. If you are still having problems they even provide a toll free phone number where you can call them directly for assistance. You can’t ask for better service than that! Suite 101 Disability Mailing List For those of you who need a gentle reminder when a new article is posted, or would like to be notified when a new link is put up, I have developed a notification e-mail list which would have you receiving three to four more e-mails a month. If you want to be put on this mailing list, just click on my EMAIL link at the top of this page and drop me a line with your e-mail address and I would be happy to add you. You don't have to be a member of Suite101 for this service. Go To Page: 1 2
