Since elections are coming up in both countries in the coming months now is the time to start that education. "Universal Healthcare: What the United States can Learn from the Canadian Experience" written by Pat and Hugh Armstrong with Claudia Fegan, M.D. is an excellent start. This book explains the history of the Canadian Health Care System and also explains the differences between the two healthcare delivery models.

I suspect that some of my American readers might be put off by the title a bit, thinking that I'm attempting to sell you on the Canadian model, but in fact I am actually hoping to educate you on the real facts of the Canadian delivery system.
