Suite101

Happy Second Anniversary to my Readers!

© Michelle Struik

Yes! Once again it's Anniversary time. As of May 29th, 1999 Suite101 Disabilities will be two years old. So once again it's time for me to trip down memory lane to see what resources I've brought to my readers.

This past year has seen me provide you with information on a variety of topics, from the benefits of pet ownership, many columns on drug information, to realistic expectations for holiday events. Also I've covered how to plan for vacations or to prepare for that house renovation. I've delved into the possible ramifications of Y2K and how to support your local patient support system without having any money of your own to spare. (For the benefit of new Suite101 Disabilities Readers just click on the ARTICLES link in the right hand corner to view our archives).

Once again I've attempted to provide you with what I hope interesting information and Internet links that you may not have discovered on your own. Hopefully I've succeeded in broadening your horizons and helped you in some way discover something that was important to you. If I have, then I've done my job...If I haven't my apologies. I try very hard to find interesting topics that would be of benefit to any disabled person, and I assure you this has been a significant challenge for me. I know how important the net is for many of you out there. It is your lifeline to the world!

I'd also like to say a BIG "Thank you" to many of my readers who have taken the time to drop me a note when they have enjoyed a particular article, or those of you who have "rated" some of my work. This feedback is important to me. It provides me with valuable information that allows me to plan for future columns. Without your responses to my work I'd be living in a vacuum and it would be extremely difficult for me continue to bring you timely and interesting articles. I appreciate the time and effort that you put into Suite101 Disabilities by visiting, reading and participating here. After all, this is a joint effort between you, my readers and myself.

In the coming year we will continue to explore the information highway hopefully leading to many more discoveries to benefit our lives. Investing in our families, friends and ourselves as we move along our path. As they say....the world is our oyster and there are many pearls to find.
