Sending Digital Pictures Online

Here's a breakdown of the minimum resolution (pixels) you need for resizing photos to send online:
  • 4x6 print = 640 x 480 resolution
  • 5x7 print = 1024 x 768 resolution
  • 8x10 print = 1536 x 1024 resolution

It is always a good idea to save an image in its original, larger, pixel-rich size, then resize it in an image editing program for emailing. You’ll always have your original in the event you need to print someone a copy. Making an image smaller won’t hurt image quality, but trying to go from small back to large results in major quality loss, called pixelation.

I love my 3.2 Olympic but I'm beginning to wonder whether I need a tripod. Some pictures seem fuzzy.
