The Cadaver Waltzed At Noon and Ghost BustedThis is the second book in the series that Jessica Fletcher presents. This book contains sixteen short stories by Anne Perry, Margaret Maron, Susan Dunlap, Leslie O'Kane, Teri Holbrook and others. These stories are just as great as the ones in the first book, "Murder, They Wrote." "The Cadaver Waltzed at Noon" by Deborah Adams is a great short story. It is written in first person. The narrator, Lydia, is a writer. She kept quite busy writing and doing tours to promote her book. She was to go on a book tour, but wasn't that enthused about going because she wanted to finish her mystery novel. Jennifer Fischer is her neighbor. Lydia liked Jennifer and thought she would make a good appearance as a writer on book tours. Lydia talked Jennifer into taking her place on the tours. Jennifer wasn't sure at first, but she agreed to go. Wherever Jennifer goes, she becomes involved in solving a murder case. This is what happened when Jennifer went on this tour. She found a dead body. The sherrif came to investigate the murder. Jennifer also helped to solve the case. Now, you'll have to read the story to find out what happened. Who was murdered? Who were the suspects? Who killed the person? What was the motive behind the murder? These are questions to think about when you read the story. The second story is titled "Ghost Busted" by Susan Rogers Cooper. This was the most unusual story I've read. However, I enjoyed reading it. The story was written entirely as a phone conversation between two people, Phoebe R. Love and Kimberly Anne Kruse. Nancy and Ernest were also mentioned in the conversation. Kimberly called Phoebe at 3:00 AM. Phoebe wasn't exactly please at being woke up in the middle of the night. The next day, Kimberly, who is also called Kimmie, called Phoebe and said that her townhouse was haunted. Phoebe didn't believe her. She didn't believe that houses were haunted. She also didn't believe in ghosts because they usually turn out to be real people acting like ghosts. Their phone conversation continued for a few days. Finally, the police came to investigate because Kimmie was confronted by someone holding a gun. She called Phoebe, and Phoebe called the police. However, Phoebe had a problem. She wasn't sure where Kimmie lived. She tried to give the police some information, but she knew they were going to have trouble locating Kimmie if they didn't have her exact address.
