"The Best of Sisters in Crime" by Marilyn Wallace - Part OneThis is a review of The Best of Sisters in Crime by Marilyn Wallace - Part One. I have read a couple of stories that I wanted to write about. One of them is similar to another story I have read and written about. The Best of Sisters in Crime edited by Marilyn Wallace contains several great short stories by famous authors such as Carolyn G. Hart, Sue Grafton, Marcia Muller, Sara Paretsky, and many others. One excellent story I have read is titled "Upstaging Murder" by Carolyn G. Hart. She is an excellent Detective Fiction writer. Her famous detective is Henrie O. Henrie O appears in the "Death On Demand" series. One of the books is titled Dead Man's Island. I have previously written a review on that book. "Upstaging Murder" is about a group of people who have gathered together to perform a play. They were to spend the weekend together and work on the play. Some of the actors are suspects, and some are detectives. They perform a play about a murder. The actors have certain rules that they follow. However, one actor decides not to obey the rules, he or she decides to do his or her own thing. As readers continue reading the story, they find out that a woman doesn't want to play the game. She wants to kill a certain person. Instead of having blanks in her gun, she places real bullets inside. She believes her gun has real bullets, but she finds out that blanks were used. She tries to escape, but does she make it? You'll have to read the story to find out what happens. This story is also very similar to a book that I had already written a review on. It is titled The Weekend Was Murder! by Joan Lowery Nixon. Several writers and actors have gathered together in a hotel to perform a play. Everyone is excited about spending the weekend working on a play. However, the weekend turns out to have an actual murderer around and a victim. Anyone who enjoys reading Detective Fiction would enjoy the short story collection The Best of Sisters in Crime by Marilyn Wallace. Another short story is titled "Voices in the Coalbin" by Mary Higgins Clark. Mary Higgins Clark is the famous author of Pretend You Don't See Her, A Cry in the Night, and many others. This short story was a little confusing. It is about a woman who is hearing voices in a Coalbin. Her husband takes her to a doctor to see what is wrong with her. He doesn't understand what is happening and why she keeps hearing voices. Later on, something happens to Laurie. Her husband can't locate her, so he contacts the police. You will have to read the story to find out what happened.
