"Women Detective Fiction" is a great site I just found on the Internet. It is located at http://users.new-quest.net/xena4/myhtml1... There is a picture of the owner and underneath is the title: Brady's Whim.
The site has a list of women detective fiction writers titled "Sisterhood of Sleuths." You can get a list of women detective writers from A-G, H-M, and N-Z. Besides the list of writers, the main character(s) is listed for each female writer. Also, short notes about each writer is listed.
Brandy and Whim have also listed their favorite women detective fiction writers in bold print.
Anyone who is interested in studying different books by female writers would find this site beneficial. It just happens to be the kind of material I needed for my Master's project that I'm studying, which is Women Detective Fiction Writers.
