Book Review of "Dead Man's Island" by Carolyn G. Hart.

"Dead Man's Island" is the first book in a series that stars Henrie O. She is a retired newshound and is given her first case as a sleuth. Her ex-lover, Chase Prescott wants her to go to Dead Man's Island, which is also known as Prescott Island and solve a case. Someone has made an attempt on his life. Chase has gathered all of the suspects in his private mansion on his private island. He wants Henrie O to find out who is trying to kill him. His suspects include his wife, stepson, son, secretary, and others who work for him on his island. The only way to get to the island is by boat, which is destroyed later on in the story. Now they are marooned on the island. A hurricane is also heading their way. You'll have to read the book to find out what happens to Chase, the effects of the hurricane, and who wants to kill Chase. The second book in the series is "Scandal in Fair Haven." I'm eager to read that one as well. Once I got started reading "Dead Man's Island," I didn't want to put it down. I kept wanting to read it until I found out who wants to kill Chase. Throughout the book, I kept wanting to draw my own conclusion to see if I came up with the same suspect as Henrie O. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a good book. I enjoy reading Carolyn G. Hart's books. She has some bad language throughout the book, but it is not as much as other authors. Her book is easy to read and follow. Carolyn G. Hart has also written similar situations as Agatha Christie. I'd give this book a nine on a 1 to 10 scale with ten being the highest. I think it is great and would recommend this book to others.
