"The Other Side of Dark" by Joan Lowery Nixon is a suspense novel for Young Adults. From the beginning of the book, readers caught up in suspense. Stacy was in a coma for four years after being shot and witnessing her mother's death. When Stacy wakes up, she calls out to her mother. The nurses try to calm her down, but Stacy wants her mother. Her doctor has to tell her what happened. Stacy thinks she is thirteen, but the doctor informs her that she is seventeen. From that point on, Stacy is confused and struggles with her situation. Stacy remembers a glimpse of the killers face, but not completely. You will have to read the book to find out what happens to Stacy and the killer.
This book is well-written. Suspense continues to build throughout the story as Stacy begins to remember certain things and the killer comes closer to her. Anyone who enjoys suspense will like this book. No matter if you are a young adult or an adult. Joan Lowery Nixon is an excellent writer of suspense stories. I recommend her books highly. They are clean wholesome books. Go To Page: 1
