Book Review - "Locked in Time" by Lois Duncan

"Locked in Time" by Lois Duncan is a suspense novel geared to Young Adults. Anyone who likes suspense would enjoy reading this book. The story starts out with Nore's feelings about her stepmother and her children. The tension continues to build throughout the story until the end.

Nore's mother died almost a year ago. Nore was in a boarding school, and when school was out for the summer, she came to live with her father and her stepmother, Lisette. Lisette had two children, Gabe and Josie. Nore felt like her stepmother and stepbrother were all right, but she had some doubts about them. One day, Nore's mother came to her in a vision. It frightened Nore at first because she knew her mother was dead. Nore's mother told her that only she could hear her voice. Nore's mother warned Nore about staying in Shadow Grove. She told Nore that she and her father should leave because they were in danger. Now you'll have to read the book to find out what happens to Nore and her father.

The book is well written and the suspense keeps building until the end. Lois Duncan has written several suspense books for Young Adults.
