Book Review of "Poodle Springs" by Raymond Chandler and Robert B. Parker
"Poodle Springs" is a book written by Raymond Chandler and Robert B. Parker. Before Raymond Chandler died, he wrote the first four chapters and left them with Robert Parker. Robert took over and wrote the rest of the book. Readers cannot tell that "Poodle Springs" was written by more than one person. Philip Marlowe is the main Detective in "Poodle Springs." In Raymond Chandler's other books, Philip Marlowe is single. In this book, he is married. His wife is very wealthy. This has caused problems in their relationship because Philip wants to be a Detective and Linda, his wife wants him to work for her father. Philip Marlowe is investigating a murder case. This book was easy to read and follow. It is a quick read and enjoyable. Chandler uses humor, which makes the book more interesting. However, the use of the bad language can be offensive to some people. I prefer to read book that do not have a lot of bad language. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Detective Fiction, especially Raymond Chandler's works. Go To Page: 1
