Meika thinks her husband is having an affair. She decides to hire a private investigator named Detective Mallory to follow
her husband. After she arrives at the building, she looks at the directory in the main lobby. She notices that his office is on the tenth floor. She enters the elevator and moves to the back in case several people enter. However, only two men enter. One of them is short and stocky and rough looking. The other one is a little taller and well dressed. Suddenly, the elevator stops between the eighth and ninth floors. She starts to panic because she is doesn't like to be in small confined areas, especially with two strange men. The men watch her and finally say, "Meika, this won't do you any good."
Startled, Meika moves toward the door, so she can escape when the door opens. Finally, she asks, "Who are you? How do you know my name?"
"Why? What do you want from me? I don't even know you." "Just do as we say, and you won't get hurt." Questions to answer: Who stopped the elevator? Who are these men? How do they know her name when she doesn't know them? What will Meika do? Will she go back home? Will she continue onward to see Detective Mallory?
