Book Review of Raymond Chandler's Stories and Novels

The book titled,"Chandler: Stories and Early Novels" is an excellent book for Detective fiction readers. It includes thirteen short stories. Some of the titles are the following:

"Blackmailers Don't Shoot," "Smart-Aleck Kill," "Finger Man," "Nevada Gas," "Spanish Blood," "Trouble Is My Business," "I'll be Waiting," plus six other short stories.

This book also includes three novels titled "The Big Sleep," "Farewell, My Lovely," and "The High Window."

Chandler's famous Detective is Philip Marlowe. He appears in these novels and many others that Chandler has written.

Chandler uses a lot of description in his novels and short stories. The way that Chandler describes the scenes helps readers to visualize the surroundings of the characters. Using description also helps readers feel like they are right there helping the detective solve the crimes.

Raymond Chandler is an excellent writer. People will become involved in his stories or novels and will not want to put them down because of the suspense.

Most Detective fiction stories or novels are exciting and keep readers on the edge of their seats. Once readers pick up a Detective fiction story or novel, they will have trouble putting it down because they want to find out what has happened and who committed the crime.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in reading Detective fiction stories.
