There are several online sites that are attractive and written in such a way that people want to return to those sites. I researched these different genres: mysteries, pulp fiction, detective stories, science fiction, children's stories, and classic literary works. Mystery lovers beware! "The Mysterious Home Page" is especially good for mystery readers or writers. Specifically, they have a list of authors, characters, themes for mystery stories, fiction, newsgroups, mailing lists, conferences, conventions, seminars, mystery organizations, mystery awards, publishers, dealers, reviews, mystery magazines, etc. To me, it is an excellent site for anyone who enjoys a good mystery. Thrilling Detective Website is another place to find information concerning mysteries or detective stories. It is colorful. Two other sites are The Mystery Site and Online Mystery Network. Adults and children will enjoy these excellent sites. They have online mysteries for adults and children. Anyone who wants to read a good mystery book can locate the books easily by the site, Selected Authors. They list in alphabetical order different authors they consider good mystery writers. Pulp Fiction Central has the following categories: adventure/jungle, fantasy, hardboiled detective, horror, modern pulp, science fiction, weird menace, and western. They list authors and categories on the homepage. Science Fiction and Fantasy is an excellent online site. Their site shows Star Wars and other science fiction or fantasy stories. Mystery books for children can be located on the Children's Storybooks online. It is an attractive design and has categories for all ages. Another site for children's stories is Kidlit. They are also attractive and has literature for different ages as well as book reviews, art, etc. Children who want to read and write should go to Kid Studio. It is designed especially for children who want to read and write stories. Story Palace: Links and Rings is another site that is attractive and interesting for children. They list inspirational works, short-shorts, novels, and series for children. "Amazon.com has a list of the ten best selling books at budget prices that are available online now. Besides fiction, they list non-fiction. For anyone who enjoys Literary works, Classic Short Stories lists several authors and their stories. Another site for Classic Literary works is the Virginia Library of Electronic Texts. They have short stories from several writers such as Poe and Hawthorne. I have spent a lot of time looking at that site and have been impressed with their material. Anyone who is interested in Classic Literary works would benefit from this site.
