rose bushes of 260 varieties and also featured is an All-America Rose Selections Test Garden.

Down the coast is The Chinese Temple and Garden (Oroville, CA) centrally located in northern California. This unique Chinese Garden contains plants originating in China and is a memorial to the original families of the area, one of the few such gardens in the United States open to the public. The Chinese Temple located here was built in 1863 to serve a community of 10,000 Chinese and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and California Landmarks.

This Temple has three chapels each featuring a spiritual practice important to the original families: Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. Each May, the Friends of the Parks Chinese Temple hold a Chinese Tea here in the Gardens.
