Denmark consists of the Jutland Peninsula and the several islands. Ferries are therefor a very important means of transportation to get around. You can travel from island to island and to the Jutland peninsula as well as to the Baltic Islands, Germany, England, Poland, Sweden, Norway and The Faroe Islands by ferry. TRAIN
Denmark has an extended railroad system with more than 80% being part of the DSB, The Danish State Railways system The Central Railroad Station can be found in Copenhagen next to Tivoli with both international and domestic connections. A railroad station can also be found at the Kastrup Copenhagen Airport where a train will take you to the Central Station in just 12 minutes with only two stops on the way.
In year 2002 a new METRO
will also open in Denmark. This metro will make it even easier and more comfortable to travel by train in Denmark. BUSSES
Busses are another favored way of getting around in Denmark.
You can also travel from Denmark to other European cities with an EXPRESS_BUS
