Something that also makes it a special film festival is its focus on women in an indiustry dominated by men. There will again be a special award for the best female director, chosen by a jury of prominent Danish women.
A special event is organized for international film buyers August 23-24.
Diplomacy will also play a role as the embassies of various countries have a hand in selecting films for the competition.
