Weirdness AboundsIt's getting really strange out there. Traders are reacting differently to their old faves. Our tells aren't quite so telling. My thinking is that it is partially because of a change in the macro enviroment($35 oil!! rocks the world). Next up is the slowdown in net advertising. Like it or not that effects lots of businesses including suppliers of components. When this happens it changes the way these stocks trade and puts them in a different range. That will greatly effect how you react to how a stock is trading. It's techs and fundies change. Now you either have to screen for new stocks that trade in the patterns you like or you have to change trading styles. I love this game! It always changes and it always stays the same. And now for the stuff you really care about. The sites.http://www.iexchange.com/ is it pro or amateur? Both. This is a pretty cool site although it is more inclined toward investing or possibly swing trading. Pros and non pros post picks and research. Some of this stuff is pretty dang good. And most of the best is not from the pro side. Buyer beware but you can pick up some coll ideas and have some fun. http://www.insidescoop.net/ is a useful site. It has a nice news ticker section as well as a weekly scoop that definitely unique. Great screener as well. Dig the vector vest report. http://canadiandaytraders.com/ is a site I thought I would throw in since suite101 has so many Canadian readers. The site has picks which I can't vouch for since I rarely trade the "frozen" market. Definitely do alot of DD here. It's worth a look. http://www.pupisup.com/ looks like a great idea. The setup is interesting and probably going to be a killer.I had a problem running it. I think it might have been because my system was acting up but I'll have to try it again. Give it a look and email me or post on our board if you get it right. Be sure to check out Cramer's pieces on shorting last week on street.com. As usual he articulates the facts in a way I can only dream of. Until next week, trade like you mean it.And as always, trading is risky and not for everyone. Please consult a professional.
