Trading Sites To Make Your Life Easier #2

Well it's a new week and time for a new round of sites to help make your trading day less stressful. The first contestant is www.EarningsWhispers.com. The site delivers concise reports on the current whispers floating around. For newbies, whisper numbers are unconfirmed earnings numbers on "the street" above or below analysts expectations on stocks about to report earnings. A heads up on a whisper number can give you a jump on a trading candidate. They can also get you whacked if they are wrong so beware. You can also upgrade to premiium service, but it didn't seem worth it. Next we take a quick trip to www.buysellorhold.com. Enter a symbol and you will get a computer generated report( both technical and fundamental). It's a good to quickly check whether a stock might be a good trader.Don't use it for stand alone research, but it can be great for swiftly checking candidates late night or just before the bell. You can also get ZACKS reports, charts and various other financial links. They have a few columns that are worth checking out. It's kind of a quirky site, which means it could become one of my faves. Message boards can be a great source of ideas if you use good judgement and just consider them a starting point. WWW.mavericktrader.com has an excellent set of boards. The posters on the site seem to be a bit sharper than on most and make for a good read. You can also chat and find the standard news and chat. You can scan the boards by industry, sector or stock symbol. You can spend hours finding good candidates as well as take a break from the rigors of trading for some interesting conversation. Yes, as with all boards, there are some people just there to pick a fight. For you chartists check out www.candlestickshop.com. It is basically a premium site, but there is a play of the day and a play of the week for free. The picks seem pretty solid, especially if you are a candlestick devotee. You can also learn how to use candlestick charts( an invaluable tool) on the site. You can never learn enough about trading and charting in particular and this site has a great education section. If your new to trading or just not proficient with charts it's worth a peek. If your looking for a good end of the day cool down, check out www.cnnfn.com. I know I know it seems so pedestrian but it can be a nice place to let the frenetic pace of trading wind down while still keepin up with the biz world. There a stories on new tech, financing, international markets and things you will find humorous. You can also get quotes and research as well as mortgage calculations. Sometimes it's nice just to hang out.
