Rumor Roundup

Once again it is time to jump into the rumor roundup to see what kinds of rumors are making the rounds! Remember though, these are only rumors!! There has been nothing from the show or actors involved giving them any kind of fact!!

One of the biggest rumors making the rounds these days is that Carrie and Mike are going to return to the show next year. Ken Corday(executive producer)has said in the past that the show is full and no new faces will be added BUT just last week in one of the soap magazines he stated that some old favorites could be returning next year. So he is changing his story it would seem. But no mention of who those faces might be. It has already been confirmed that Lucas will return in February but his run is supposed to be a limited one. No mention from the show about anyone else yet.

Another late rumor is tied in with the Carrie rumor in that this rumor states that the show will have a primetime show during February sweeps time and that two old favorites will return in that show. Most people think that IF that rumor is true that one will be Lucas and the other Carrie just in time to bust up Austin and Sami's wedding plans or even wedding maybe.

Another February sweeps rumor is that a big secret about the Ireland story will be coming out then as well. I for one will be very glad if this turns out to be true. I have wanted them to get on with this story for a long time now.

A rumor that has made the rounds on the soap boards is that someone will be replacing Joe Mascolo as Stefano. I hope this is not true. I just don't think that anyone can play Stefano like Joe. Now if they brought someone on as part of the Ireland story that is related to Stefano that might make sense because it will be hard to tell that story properly without a Dimera to play the bad guy. Rumor has had it that Michael Nader(ex Dimitri-AMC) may be up for some kind of Dimera role. Remember it's just a RUMOR!

One rumor that has been axed recently is that Lisa Rinna is going to return as Billie. In one of the latest editions of Soaps In Depth I think it was a spokesperson for her stated she is not returning to the show. I tend to think this is true and that she will not be returning.
