December Sweeps

In an interesting move the show has decided to pull out the big stories this month instead of the traditional November sweeps time period. The stories are buidling up to some dramatic conclusions and it looks like the next two weeks are going to be really good.

Lexie's party is the event of the year. With most all of Salem in the same room, dressed in their finest, Lexie plots to turn Hope back into Princess Gina and she hopes that by doing so she can keep Isaac forever. Unfortunately Lexie's plan is already starting to unravel as John takes matters into his own hands to rid Hope of the Gina chip once and for all.

Lexie also has Barb to deal with at the party. Barb wants even more money to keep Lexie's secret and shows up demanding that Lexie pay up. Lexie is beside herself wanting to get rid of this woman and turns to good old Rolf to handle it like always. Rolf pulls out a gun at the party and Lexie may get more than she bargained for on this deal.

John is dealing with trying to protect Hope and keep his own memories and feelings about Gina in check. And he has Marlena's feelings about all of this to take into consideration as well. Add to that the fact that he knows the truth about Hope's baby being his own and John has his hands full.

There will be quite a lot of fallout from this little party. Some people will be changed forever and lives will be turned upside down. Will John be able to get the chip out of Hope's brain in time, will Lexie lose everything, will someone be shot? And who will learn the secrets of the baby switch? The fans will finally get some payoff for sticking with this story for so long and the baby switch story will move a little closer to becoming public knowledge for everyone in Salem.

While most of Salem is oblivious to what is really going on at this party of the year the people involved in the baby switch story will come out of it changed and learning secrets. The next two weeks will be very explosive for the show and finally give some much waited for payoff for the fans. While I am not happy about Princess Gina returning, I am glad the show is finally letting some of the secrets about the baby switch out of the bag. So on with the party and the show!
