Brandon has gotten himself neck deep in the whole baby switch story by agreeing to help Lexie with the DNA test. Not only is he willing to do something totally illegal but do it happily. If the hospital finds out he will definitely be out of a job and probably in jail.
Brandon is also pretty smart when it comes to figuring out things and I think he will have this whole baby switch figured out even before Lexie. When that happens Stefano will not want this information walking around Salem. Brandon will have made a grave error in letting on that he has figured it all out.
Stefano is not one to get his hands dirty directly but you can bet he will find a way to keep what Brandon knows quiet. Even if it means shutting Brandon up for good. Now, Brandon is a main character on the show so I don't think he will be getting the axe but Stefano has lots of ways of keeping people quiet. Whatever happens you can bet it is not going to be good for Brandon.
So because he is such a loyal friend he is going to pay in the end. Stefano can not risk having someone know about the baby switch just walking around town waiting to spill the beans. Brandon had better be watching his back every second because you never know when something wicked this way comes.
