Burning Down The House

Well Kate really did it this time, she burned down the entire Kiriakis mansion in one night! Of course in the process she also put her son's life in grave danger.

Kate has been on a downward spiral for weeks now. Ever since Sami revealed that she was about to possess the tape that would send Lucas and Kate to jail, Kate has done nothing but fall further and further into the hole of no return. She talked Lucas into signing away his son, she all but celebrated when she thought she would inherit all of Victor's fortune and then when she found out he was alive she hit him over the head and set the house on fire.

Granted she was told that Lucas was not home and she really had no way of knowing he was there, but her actions have once again harmed people she cares most about. You would think she would have learned a lesson by now, but something tells me this is only the beginning.

When Kate finds out that Victor is still not dead she is going to be like a caged animal trying to plot and scheme her way out of the latest mess. While it is great to finally see Kate get some of what she deserves, I think it will be even better to see her try and claw her way back to the top of the pile. There is no better schemer than Kate except for maybe Sami.

I am sure Nicole will have some appropriately snarky remarks for Kate when Victor reveals himself and you can bet Sami will get her digs in too, but Kate is not one to stay down for long. I predict that she will be climbing her way back to the top as soon as she can and stepping on anyone who gets in her way. It should be great fun to watch.
