Abe Gets A Real Storyline

Abe Carver has languished on the backburner for years at Days. Long time viewers know that the actor who portrays Abe, James Reynolds, is very talented and very underused by the show. But this may all be about to change.

Abe has to confront this week the worst kind of history repeating itself. This week Abe shot Brady in the back no less and there is talk that he may be paralyzed. It is the Larry shooting story all over again. Abe has to deal with shooting someone who should never have been shot and possibly wounding them for life. It will be a traumatic and dramatic storyline for Abe and one that I am sure he will perform wonderfully.

Add to that storyline the fact that sooner or later Abe is going to find out he has been playing father to one of his best friends children. His wife will fall apart and he will be left with a child that is not who he thought it was and all the troubles that go along with it.

The further complication for Abe is that I still believe he is Brandon Walkers' father as well. Wouldn't it be a great storyline twist to have him find out that the baby he and Lexie have is Hope's and that he has a real son, one that he despises. What drama! And not a brain chip in site!

Abe could be on the front burner for some time with several great storylines. The storylines involve many other Days players and would be great for the fans. I do hope the Days executives will take advantage of all this fantastic material and this wonderful actor. I think they would find people tuning in every day to see what happens next.
