Everything Old Is Old Again

I have come to the conclusion, again, that Days has a shortage of story ideas. The rumors about the upcoming story with Hope's baby and Stefano are almost word for word the story of Kristen/Susan. Except that the acting is much less exciting this time around.

Is there a shortage of inspired soap writers? If there is Days must be at the top of the shortage list. Story lines are done over and over, only the names have been changed.

Next week we will be introduced to Marlo, a pregnant woman hired by Stefano to carry out his plan for Hope's baby. Let me guess as to the story line. Stefano gives Hope's baby to Lexie and Abe to adopt and gives this Marlo person's baby to Hope and Bo. Sound familiar?? It's almost the EXACT same story as Kristen/Susan.

There are some stories on Days that I find interesting at present but this rehash of Stefano and the baby swapping is not one of them. Like the brainwashing and mind control chips, this has been done to death.

On a brighter front next week we will also get to see Craig and Nancy interacting when she tells the truth about being Chloe's mother. Any scenes with Craig, Nancy and Chloe are far more enjoyable than this baby swapping/who's the father story.

So grab your remotes and start working that fast forward button if you can't stand another baby swapping story. Let's hope it doesn't last too long!
