Paris In SpringtimeThe bulk of the Salem population has migrated to Paris for the rescue of Hope and the burial of Princess Gina. As much as I detest the whole Gope(Hope/Gina)storyline, this Paris trip has given several characters an opportunity to spread their wings. John Black is going back and forth between good guy John and really bad guy mercenary John. He switches from one persona to the other with just a lift of his eyebrow. Poor Marlena is left to wonder who it is she is talking to on a minute by minute basis. But it has given yet another dimension to the character of John. I just hope that the story line down the road doesn't have him turn out to be Stefano's best friend in the past or worse yet...RELATED TO HIM! Greta, Shawn and Eric have also gotten to spread their wings in the Paris story. Greta was wonderwoman on the spot with the airplane door episode. Maybe if she would take some that backbone and determination back to Salem she could get rid of that witch Nicole. Shawn and Eric helped John to try and disarm the bomb. It showed them in more of a hero capacity than they had been before. I love any scene with Doug and Julie. They really bring back memories for this long time Days watcher. I wish they would stay with the show, but fear that after the Hope story is over they will be sent off somewhere yet again. Next week is sure to be filled with lots of drama as Bo prepares to rescue Hope. Unfortunately, Hope and Stefano start a fire and almost burn the castle and themselves up in the process. I am sure that Bo WILL rescue her and most likely John will rescue Stefano. The Paris story will come to an end but the who's the father of Hope's baby story will go on. So who is the father? My hunch is that after months of torment and speculation they will find a way to make it Bo's. Unless after she is rescued Hope has amnesia!! Worse things have happened! Let's hope they don't go down that road. Until next time...
