It is a sad day for me, but I want to announce that I am retiring as daylily editor for Suite 101. I would like to leave you with a few thoughts. Gardeners are truly wonderful people with a strong desire to share knowledge and plants with others. It has been truly inspiring to "talk" with all of you. I've enjoyed the comments, both the good and not so good, because I know they were shared with good intentions. It seems that we all share in the fact that we can coax these plants to produce the wonderful flowers and foliage that we love. Please continue to share with all people your flowers and advice. I will leave you with a picture of one of my new creations (with the co-operation of God and nature). It only has a few buds, but I will watch this one and use it to hybridize for future flowers.
Please note that my contest continues and the prizes will be awarded. Please send pictures according to the instructions on the contest page. Remember: Make the world a more beautiful place.
As I promised, here are the pictures of our first entry from Paul Howard. Remember he is the one who retired as a grower and passed on his plants to Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
This topic needs an editor so if you love daylilies and writing, please apply. The reason that I am "retiring" is I am now certified to teach Hatha Yoga and will attempt to pass on my knowledge to others. I will teach at my church and at my studio, which is in an apartment attached to my house. Surrounded by my daylilies, I hope to pass on peace, love, and joy to others. Namaste! Namaste is a word that means we all honor the spirit of good that is in all of us and to bless each other. Go To Page: 1
