Is Your DMB Library Complete?© Jennifer Scott

So, you think your DMB CD library is complete, huh? You have the studio albums, the live albums, the Warehouse dics and (ahem) even the very, very unofficial Lillywhite sessions? Well, guess what? Your DMB collection is incomplete until you have added the following titles! The Huckleberry House 10th Anniversary
Featuring everyone from Janis Joplin to Cake, this compilation CD includes the album version of "So Much to Say." Soko: In November Sunlight
LeRoi and Dave guest on this one. LeRoi plays sax on a number of tracks and Dave lends his vocal talents to the track "Jiriki". Also appearing on the album is the "virtual sixth DMB member" Tim Reynolds, who plays guitar in "Jiriki". (We'll have a full review of it up in the coming weeks!) Breathe: A Tribute to the Music of Dave Matthews Band
This blue grass instrumental-only CD was a little tough for some fans to get used to at first, but, much like DMB, the more you hear it the more you will probably like it. If you strongly dislike bluegrass music this may not be for you; on the other hand, you should give it a try, because hearing DMB's familiar tunes with a blue grass flavor just might "convert" you! John D'Earth and Dawn Thompson: Mercury
From C'ville vocalist/songwriter Dawn Thompson and trumpeterJohn D'earth, Mercury boasts Carter on all of the tracks and Dave singing lead on "Darkness." (Review coming soon!)
The Access Series: Dave Matthews Band
I have not had the opprotunity to review this title yet, but the following description is exercerpted from the Amazon.com page for this item: "...biography detailing the story of the Dave Matthews Band and their rise to fame. Interspersed with audio clips by Dave Matthews, this CD covers all aspects of the band and the indescribable genre bouncing phenomena. Contains no music... " Maximum Audio Biography
I mentioned this one in a previous review, and, my opinion has not done well over time. This British biographical audio CD contains very cheesy almost Musak-ish background music and no original DMB music. There are no more interview clips than you can count on two hands. Bottom line: If it comes down to choosing between another non-standard DMB title and this one, put this CD at the bottom of your list! What Would You Say?
