I was stricken with a raunchy case of the flu last week and early this week, which meant no DMB update for the week ending November 2nd... sorry about that! But that just means we have all the more DMB news to share this week, so without further ado, here are the latest DMB headlines!

International Tour "86'ed"

The band has cancelled a series of international concert dates due to our current global crisis. The band issued the following statement on their Web site on October 23rd:

"Dave Matthews Band has decided to cancel the international tour dates previously planned for November and December. In light of recent global events, the band, their crew, and management all feel it important to be close to family and friends. At this time, no plans have been made to reschedule the canceled engagements..."

The following tour stops were affected:

  • Tue 11/6 Auditorio Nacional Mexico City, Mexico
  • Tue 11/13 Docks Hamburg, Germany
  • Wed 11/14 Anker Leipzig, Germany
  • Thu 11/15 Live Music Hall Cologne, Germany
  • Sun 11/18 Casino Berlin, Germany
  • Mon 11/19 Capitol Frankfurt / Offenbach, Germany
  • Tue 11/20 Georg Elser Halle Munich, Germany

London Date Reinstated

The Monday show scheduled for Hanover Grand in London was originally included in the cancelled shows, but the band announced on November 2nd that the show has now been reinstated, but only as a solo, acoustic performance by Dave. Due to the venue's small size, tickets were sold on a lottery basis ending Wednesday.

What do you think of the DMB items nominated for these awards? Should the Lillywhite sessions have been included? Do you think "Space Between" is the best selection for best song? Why or why not? ...
