Dave Appears on "Tribute"
Dave Matthews made a surprise appearance on the "Tribute to Heroes" telethon that aired on most national television networks last Friday. Dave performed solo, playing his signature acoustic guitar. He gave a rounding rendition of the band's upcoming single, "Everyday." As we reported last week, the release of "When the World Ends" was shelved and "Everyday" will be in lieu of it. Word has it the idea of a song "When the World Ends" was a bit too pessimistic given recent events. Fans who missed the performance will be glad to know that it will be included on a compilation CD to be released sometime next month. Proceeds will benefit the Sept 11 Fund. Other performers on the CD are Bruce Springsteen, Celine Dion and Fait Hill. We'll bring you more info as it's available. Don't Forget! Order Your CD! You can now pre-order the next live CD, which is to be released Oct. 23rd! You can buy it at the band's official site, the Warehouse site or at online stores like CDnow.com or Amazon.com. The live concert features rarities like "The Maker"! Dave Scheduled to Perform at Lennon Tribute No more news at the moment in regard to the tribute concert that was re-scheduled for next week. The John Lennon tribute concert has been reformatted to honor the victims and rescuers of the recent tragedies in D.C., New York and Pennsylvania. Gray Matters David Gray on winning the 2001 Ivor ATO recording artist David Gray was recently given the Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, for his song Babylon from the ablum "White Ladder". The IVORS is internationally respected as the premier award ceremony to reflect the talent of British songwriters and composers and their contribution as the creative source of the music industry's prosperity.
