The Latest DMB News: August 10, 2001

The official DMB web site reported this week that Dave will be making a "special solo performance" at this year's Farm Aid. The site stated that Dave will be joining the likes of John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson and Neil Young. The charity event is being held on September 29th at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, IN. Tickets go on sale for the even this Saturday.

DVD Update

Official word has finally come about in regard to the DVD! The DVD entitled, Dave Matthews Band: The Videos 1994-2001 is now listed for pre-order at DMBand.com. The price is $19.99.

The site reads:

"Representing what is, in a sense, a collection of the band's greatest hits from their four RCA studio albums... Starting with the first video, 'What Would You Say', and running all the way through the current hit, 'The Space Between', [the DVD] provides the chance to experience all of the band's 12 videos with the superior audio and visual quality that only DVD can offer."

The site also says that three behind-the-scenes short films about Don't Drink The Water, Stay (Wasting Time), and I Did It are featured, as well as a special feature that will allow viewers to hear the directors' insights into the making of each video.

Live CD Coming Soon?
Waldo L. Jaquith of Nancies.org posted a story on Monday that you will definitely want to check out. Jaquith reports:

" We're now hearing from a variety of sources that we can expect a live release as early as this October. Several folks have told us that this CD will be the Chicago show... Chalk this one up as a rumor, but one grounded in reality..."
