Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate on drill team. It provides wonderful opportunities for fun practices: the costumes, the funny noises you can make, the decorations, and the parties.
I searched the web and found some resources to help you plan your team's Halloween celebrations. This is a holiday that's too fun not to celebrate with in-practice dress-up days (have a contest to see who has the most crazy, ugly, mix-matches, creative, etc. costume ... in which you can still dance, of course) and after-practice celebrations. The Free Party Themes from Party411 page has party theme ideas for a variety of holidays and seasons (including football games) as well as themes (from a luau to Mexican fiesta) for a variety of locations (indoors and out). There are ideas for party favors and resources for places to purchase small favors and decorations if you don't want to make them. You can enter to win a door prize at the site as well. At the Halloween Party Planner, get ideas for snacks, decorating and entertaining young children. While your drill team is probably on a higher maturity level, the youthful games may work well for your large group. Find more fun Halloween recipes to prepare for your team at KitchenLink.com's Halloween Recipes page. Ideas, games, costumes, haunted houses, jack-o-lanterns and other information is located at Everything Halloween. Also, don't forget that the deadline to submit your work to the Chicken Soup for the Spirited Soul book is November 1. Click here to get more information about how to make an entry. Go To Page: 1
