Younger teams kick high, too

Greetings, all!

Whew! My brain is tired from that sunscreen parody, but I hope you all enjoyed it.

Several weeks back, I asked if anyone knew of any junior high or elementary school drill team sights. I found a few myself and got one or two replies.

You've probably seen the Victoria Strutters page before. They're put a lot of effort into the page itself and advertising it. Strutters is a private drill team sponsored by the Debbie Bennett Green School of Dancing in Victoria, Texas. Members are in grades 6-8.

The Schrade Falcons Sixth Grade Drill Team of Rowlett, Texas, recently started a web page. It's under construction, so you'll want to check back throughout the year.

I also found a page for Strathern Elementary School's drill team. The girls in grades 3-5 attend this elementary school in Los Angeles, Calif.

Finally, here's a link to Sherry's Gotta Dance Drill Team from Lemon Grove, California.

If you have links to other elementary or middle school teams, I encourage you to post them in a discussion about this article. You can also register your team's page in Drill Team Exchange.com's link section for middle and elementary school teams.

Upcoming televised dance/drill contests:

National High School Cheerleading Championship - Junior High Division - 5 p.m. EST, July 3 on espn2

National High School Cheerleading Championship - Medium Varsity All Girl Division- 2 p.m. EST, July 11 on espn2
