Epicurious Food - Some fine recipes from out friends at Epicurious . And an easy Chili recipe from my kitchen. 2 lb. - Ground Chuck Beef 2 - 16 oz. Cans of Pinto Beans 2 - 16 oz. Cans of Chili Beans 1- 16 oz. Can of Black Beans 1- 16 oz. Can of Red Kidney Beans 1- 16 oz. Can of Diced Tomato 2- 6 oz. Cans of Tomato Paste 2- 8 oz. Cans of Tomato Sauce 1 - 4 oz. Can of Sliced Mushrooms (drained) 1 - med. Onion (diced) 1 - Green Pepper (diced) 2 T. Chili Seasoning 1 T. Onion Powder 3 Cloves of Minced Garlic 1 T. Italian Seasoning 1 T. Cilantro In a large pot, cook hamburger along with the onion and green pepper. Cook over medium heat until the hamburger is browned and onion and green pepper are tender. Drain well. After draining, place the hamburger back into the pot. Add the canned beans, tomato and mushroom. Add the spices and stir. Heat over a low flame until hot, stirring occasionally(about 30 minutes). Serve with diced onion, shredded cheese, over pasta or rice, or plain. Salt and pepper to taste. Louisiana Hot Sauce is a must in our house.
