Pizza Hut No matter what's put on it, how its shaped, or how you slice it, pizza is enjoyed worldwide by millions of people on a quest for the "Best Pizza in the World!!" Good luck on your gastronomic adventure!
The recipe for this article is a pizza my wife really enjoys. It's a stuffed crust pizza with spinach, ham, sausage, and mushroom.
I did not list ingredient amounts for a specific reason. It's your pizza, make it how you like it. That's half the fun.
Basic Pizza Dough
Basic Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese
Spinach
Ham (diced)
Sausage
Mushrooms
Parmesan
If you don't own any deep-dish pizza pans, don't fret. Teflon coated cake pans work just as nicely. One batch of pizza dough will make two 9 inch pies.
Coat pans with olive oil, sprinkle a small amount of yellow corn meal into the bottom of the pan.
Roll out half the dough to about 1.5 times the size of the cake pan.
Place the dough in the pan, and press dough in place working up the side of the pan. You can crimp the dough at the top of the pan to keep it from sliding into the pan.
Layer ingredients in pan as follows:
Sauage, spinach, ham, mushrooms, and mozzarella about a 1/4" from the top of the pan.
Layer the pizza sauce to the top of the pan and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake in a 450 degree pre-heated oven for 15-25 minutes depending on your oven's temperament. The crust will be golden brown and sauce bubbly. To easily take the pizza out of the pan, slide a butter knife around the pan between the crust and pan wall. With a small spatula, carefully lift up the underneath of the pizza and it should slide out quite nicely, thank you.
