ADAM: Hey, Marc, thanks for taking the time to do our interview. How's life? MARC: Hi Adam. Things are going well. I am sitting at an internet café working on this interview. ADAM: To the uninitiated, what are the themes of The Young Machines? Does the hope outweigh the melancholy in the end? Or does melancholy win this round? Going dancing, staying up all night etc. has given me a new love for the cities around me. I am sure nature will inspire me again when I am over loaded with man made stimulus. ADAM: You have roots in the hardcore world here in California, but Her Space Holiday betrays very little of that lineage. Most musicians and fans alike-myself included-seem to gravitate at least a little away from the heavier stuff as we get older. Is it an age thing? A philosophical thing? What changes? MARC: I think in the start of people's love for music, they are attracted to
