Artist: HANOI ROCKS

Album: Twelve Shots on the Rocks

The Scoop: RYAN SEACREST: Welcome back to American Idol. You just heard from Hanoi Rocks, pride of Finland and the early 80's. Judges, what did you think?

RANDY JACKSON: Yo. Michael Monroe, man, Andy McCoy. What you doin? You chillin?

MICHAEL MONROE, Lead Singer: "No one knows what I'm about. That's why I just scream and shout." ("Delirious").

RANDY JACKSON: Yo, you guys hooked up a new band, but the sound is hot - I dug the old Hanoi, but this one is older, wiser, and it's still tight, dog. When you slow it down, though, it's just a'ight for me, it's not enough, but when you kick it out, you prove why you were such an inspiration to the whole Sunset Strip, glam-rock world; you've got that boozy attitude like the Crüe, you've got the big, defiant choruses...it's like a time machine. Yeah! I'm gonna give Steve Perry a holla. I miss the old days.

SIMON COWELL: Oh, goody.

PAULA ABDUL: Michael, Andy...you know I love you guys. I love the leopard skin, the big hats, the open vests. Because, you know what, forget the cynics, music should be fun and sometimes even silly and you should be yourself and every time you guys get up on stage, you make me want to dance and party and smile...bravo. I miss the old days.

MICHAEL MONROE: Thank you, Paula. "We surf all night on cosmic brainwaves." ("Moonlite Dance")

SIMON COWELL: Of course you do. Look, Michael, Andy... that was absolutely dreadful. (fans boo) It was. It was. Look, just because The Darkness is cashing in on you and your ghastly brethren doesn't mean you get a free pass to come back from the dead. You completely run out of steam toward the end of the album - not surprising, really, considering your age. I didn't like the old days then, and I don't like them now. Sorry.

MICHAEL MONROE: "You can't spike me with the evil seed of doubt" ("Gypsy Boots").

(Cowell shrugs. Monroe extends a middle finger. Cut to commercial.)

Highlight Tracks: "Obscured" and "A Day Late, A Dollar Short"
