Your Daily HoroscopeI'm aware, as the author of the Cults column, that a large per centage of my readers are of the sort that can be (hopefully without offense) described as 'typical' Christians. Which leads me, this month, to write in less of a lecturing style than a querying one. The traditional theology of Christianity holds Astrology to be a cult. Personally, I think it's an interesting, ancient curiosity, as accurate and legitimate as other forms of faith--since, if faith is 'the evidence of things not seen,' surely it is nothing more than faith which causes one to believe the stars have some insight or knowledge to pass to mortal man. The query is this: what do you think of the prevalence of horoscopes on the Internet? They're everywhere, and most of them are free. Even Suite101 provides horoscopes for the reader. Does this feel, to the modern Christian--and/or to the reader of this column--like an infringement, an offense, a service, or a flaky irrelevance? I do hope so see some feedback on this subject.
