Game Review - Virtual SnookerInterplay has come out with another gem of a game. After giving us Virtual Pool I and II, their next offering couldn't have been anything but Virtual Snooker. Yes, visit Interplay and make sure you download the demo copy of the program. It's just as good as Virtual Pool was. With a small download of 850K, in about three minutes you have a great snooker simulation up and running. Described below are some of the product's features as on the website. The game has a 52-minute full motion library including tutorials of Steve Davis' legendary 147 break. It also has easy multi-player modes where you can take on a friend, the computer or play over a network. VR Snooker has all the feel and control of the real game; just like Virtual Pool, the mouse is your cue. Ease back gently for a soft touch or stroke hard for a smacking shot. The game also features realistic 3-D perspective and graphics: take a walk around the table, ponder all your angles and prospective shots; look left, right, zoom in and zoom out. Then line up that shot and shoot it. The requirements for the game are very light. A powerful machine always adds to the fun. But, Virtual Snooker being a DOS-based game, all you need to enjoy it completely is DOS 5.0 or higher, a 486-DX with 4 MB RAM, VGA with 256 colors, and a mouse of course. Add to your Cue Sport library of games with this amazing offering from Interplay.
