First of all I would like to send my deepest sympothy to all of the people out there with crohns,I too am a suffer of this awful disease.I was put in the hospital for a hysterectomy at the age of 25 due to endometerosus when they were doing the surgery ey found out i had crohns which made sense to me because i always had bad diareha and bad stomach pain well that was just the beganning of my long terriabale journy. since then i have had 3 surgeries been in and out of hospitals,and when they put me in ere my hospital stays are LONG well in 1997 I was in the hospital for 4 months wow I never thought i would get out but i did. now i have been diagnosed with another disease that crohns causes called Ankloysing Spondinitis which makes your spine fuse tog her so i cannot stand or walk very well they have me on about 25 deffrent medications including two chemotherapy drugs Methotrexate,and purinethol which makes me very sick and my hair is falling out gradually I have also bee! n on 40 mg of prednisone for about 4 years that stuff is awful and lots and lots of pain medicastions including fentyl patches so I am always flying pretty high :) but the good graces of God did give me a sence of humor to get through this mess cause i re need it now they have delivered me a wheelchair and boy that needs some getting used too the good thing though is with the wheelchair I got a handicap sticker for the van so now in these winter months i get a close parking spot to the shopping malls ppie :) thats if i can convince my husband to drive me hehe not an easy task people trust me!!!! well I do send out my deepest wishes to all of us crohnies God Bless us all Debbie ILL
