Fall Television Preview 2003: Part Two

"Threat Matrix" is another program about the terrorist threat facing our nation. This show revolves around a task force within the Homeland Security Agency that has access to the latest technology and resources at the FBI, CIA, and NSA. The show will also deal with the conflict and chemistry between the leader of the task force, Special Agent John Kilmer, and his ex-wife Frankie who also works on the task force. "Threat Matrix" deals with territory that has been covered on both "The Agency" and "24" and covered particularly well on the latter show. There are no major stars on the show and it will be running opposite "Friends" so its staying power will depend on it being exciting and well-written. "Threat Matrix" premieres Thursday September 18th at 8/7c.

ABC's third offering is "Karen Sisco," which is based on the tough female lead played by Jennifer Lopez in the film Out of Sight, based on an Elmore Leonard novel. Karen Sisco is a U.S. Marshall in Miami and is as capable as any man. Like on "Crossing Jordan," there is a strong relationship between the female lead and her father, who is a retired Marshall. While the majority of television programs based on movies have not been successful, this show has a strong cast, including Carla Gugino and Robert Forster. However, it will be running against established favorite "Law and Order" so only time will tell. "Karen Sisco" will premiere Wednesday October 1st at 11/10c.

As the shows premiere, please keep us informed of your opinions on the new programs. Information for this article was taken from www.nbc.com/ and www.abc.com/.
