2003 World Cup

The world cup 2003 pools have been announced. For the first time, 14 teams will be participating in a world cup. It will be held in South Africa. South Africa is holding the world cup for the first time.

The rankings will be updated for the pools. The pools will comparise of following teams according to their positions.

Pool A Pool B Team 1 Team 2 Team 4 Team 3 Team 5 Team 6 Team 8 Team 7 Team 9 Team 10 Team 12 Team 11 Team 13 Team 14

This system ensures that Team 1 has the advantage of being pooled with Team 4, and so on. The other three teams which will join the system will be known after the ICC Associate Members Trophy in July 2001.

At the current moment, the standing are:
