Indoor Cricket

The rule made for the ball touching the roof was quite an interesting one and perhaps the best possible. The ball will be declared a dead ball if the batsman hit touches the roof. Personally, I feel that one of the people who can hit the roof is Afridi because his slog shots easily go to such height.

There was some problem with the lights as well and the batsman had to place their crash helmets a little downwards to counter the light coming in their eyes.

The pitch was typical Australian pitch - bouncy, something in for both batsman and bowlers.

The crowd participation was not up to the expectations but really its something to be watched. With temperature of zero degrees Celsius outside, cricket going on, really something great for the game of cricket. With snowfall in the neighboring mountains and cricket being played in the valley, it's somewhat a bit similar to Sharjah where cricket is played with temperature reaching mid 40's.

These matches has opened a new horizon in the cricket galaxy and ICC should encourage other countries to build such other beautiful stadium which are not only good for the game of cricket but also for the spectators. Consequently, cricket will attract more and more people, nations and countries to become an ICC member and play cricket at international level.
