First I'll name the players and then justify their positions. So, the team I think should be
Saeed Anwar (Pak) Mark Waugh (Aus) Brian Lara (WI) Sachin Tendulkar (Ind) Steve Waugh (Captain) (Aus) Michale Beaven (Aus) Moin Khan (Pak) Shaun Pollock (SA) Wasim Akram (Pak) Saqlain Mushtaq (Pak) Glenn McGrath (Aus) This team in mainly dominated by Aussies and Pakistanis because they are the two most talented teams of the world and World Cup finalist. South African is a great team and they always come up with good teamwork and manage to win the match. They don't have any super-starts in their team. I would also like to mention players, whom I want to pick in my team but sadly there is no position left for them. Shoaib Akhtar, a great genuine pace bowler, Chris Cairns, great all-rounder from New Zeland. Azharuddin, the man with max runs in ODIs, GilChrist great keeper and good batsman, Allen Donald good pace bowler, Shane Warne and Kumble great spinners. Abdul Razzaq and Lance Klusener are great all-rounders. I think these names will just keep on increasing. So, Saeed and Mark Waugh the openers. Both of them have earned great reputation and their record shows that they are great batsmen. Saeed has max. runs in one innings (194) and Mark Waugh is a superb player and has performed on each and every type of wicket. Lara and Tendulkar, world's two best batsman with great records. Lara has played on many different numbers but I think he is a sort of player who should be in top 3. Tendulkar, the man with max. 100's in ODIs can perform at any number. His record is very good while opening but I think there is no place left for him in top order but he has played some great knock while batting at no.4. So, I've placed him in this spot. Steve Waugh, the captain of not only this team but also the captain of world champion team. Man with a lot of character and courage, a good batsman and at times a good bowler as well. Michale Beaven is the man with best average in ODI. In most dream teams and other such stuff I see his name missed out but I think that he should be in because he never gets out. Moin Khan, the wicket-keeper batsman has proven that he is the best around. He is very experienced as well. I think that no one has forgotten his sixes in the World Cup, which he struck to McGrath and Donald. Simply tremendous and unbelievable. Go To Page: 1 2
