If I am hiding the sales tax in the up front price of the item, I will charge you $20.00 for the wreath. This is the amount you will pay me. I owe the State $1.48 sales tax. This means I collected $18.52 for the price of the wreath. Often when you buy at a booth that has sales tax in the price you will see that the items cost even dollars, ex: $5.00, $10.00, etc. This keeps the crafter from having to carry many coins.
