MARKETING TOOLS - Part III

Jun 9, 2000 - © Barbara Massie

Include an ad on restaurant place mats. How often has that been your "waiting for food reading?" Your ad will be read by many people each day.

Yellow Pages listing in the local phone book - purchase a display ad if within your budget. When the telephone rings, answer it with a smiling voice. Smile as you pick up the phone, even if you have tears in your eyes. The smile comes across in your voice and the customer is happy to hear it. The biggest turnoff for a customer is have the phone answered with the impression that one is bothering the person who picks up the receiver.

Magnetic signs - purchase with business name, telephone number and logo to attach to the doors of your vehicle when out and about. If the name and logo do not indicate what the business is, find a catch phase to describe it.

Plan Magic Corporation has a site with hints. Read their hints at Top Ten Tips for Magic Marketing

Next time, we'll change topics and switch to another phase of your craft business.
