For years, companies have sold at home parties. It's like selling door-to-door, but instead of knocking on many doors, you knock on one where guests who have been invited are waiting to see your product. The product can be crafts you make or a combination of items put together into gift baskets. Many people are so busy now, they welcome the opportunity to make life easier for themselves. Convince them you can make their lives easier by creating and delivering beautiful gift baskets, ordered in advance, with no stress of shopping at the last moment.

Have the party in your own home if you want. The supplies and items are already there, which means no loading and unloading for you. Or ask a friend to host a party. One who will have the party in her home with invited friends and neighbors. In return for the hospitality, give her a free hostess gift.

Construct a sample of each item you wish to advertise at the home party. Seeing an item, then feeling the item as they are passed around, is part of the selling process. Give an incentive for the person to order at that time. A percentage off the total of an order motivates one to buy.

Before doing a home party, gather your supplies. Take printed material that advertises your business - business cards, brochures and catalogs.
