Did you push some buttons after reading the last article on making your world happy? Here are a few more hints on "celebrating today." 7. Reprogram your mind like a computer:
8. Laugh at life. Look to the happy side. Sounds philosophical but it does work! A sense of humor is healthy and it will rub off on other people. An angry person can walk into a room and change the whole atmosphere; YOU can walk into a room laughing, with a positive attitude, and also change the atmosphere. Read about Laughter Therapy and why you should learn to laugh. 9. Take lively walks to give yourself more energy. This is especially good if you feel like you are starting to get grouchy. Do walk tall, with stomach in, shoulders back. You`ll feel better and look trimmer. 10. Don't be afraid of making decisions just because you might make a mistake. When you have a decision to make, think about it; gather the facts; choose alternatives; even make a list of pros and cons if you like. Then MAKE the decision. Making decisions based on your database gives information on several areas of decision making. 11. Unclutter your life. Give everything its own place and make sure each item always goes back to its own spot. It might sound like a huge task, but don't try to put the whole office, workshop, or home into order at once - do it one thing at a time - eventually everything will be in order and have a place of its own. 12. The telephone can be your friend, but don`t let it control your life. Don't answer the phone just because it rings. Let the recorder get it or if the call is important, the caller will try again. If you can`t stand to hear a phone ring and you do want some quiet time - at the office, close your door and reroute the calls; at home, turn the volume down as low as it will go and cover the phone with a pillow. 13. If one of your friends makes you depressed and isn't really fun to be around, quit being a friend to that person. This sounds very strong, but think about it. There are too many people in the world that can ADD gratification to your life. Do you want a pen pal? Look at CyberFriends for help.
